Hello and welcome to UIC's School of Public Health! I am honored to be this year's president of the Student Association, and I am looking forward to meeting you all. I am a second year MPH student in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, a research assistant and a coordinator working to establish Illinois' first Student EpiCorps to assist in a major outbreak. Our school is all about possibilities - the more you get involved, the richer your experiences will be and the more opportunities will develop. Let us help make your first year here a little more comforting, supportive and fun, starting with our Trolley ride around Chicago on the Thursday afternoon of orientation and Happy Hour the following day. I encourage everyone to participate in the many student committees that were established for our benefit and to consider being a team member of PHSA. We have many events planned for this year. We need volunteers, and we need your help. See you at orientation!!
