Charter - Fundraising Committee

I. Funds
A. Committee chair must give full accounting of monetary funds (profits, losses) in written form to board at end of each semester
B. Minor use of funds for fundraising activities is subject to discretion of committee members
C. Any use of funds for fundraising activities over ____ must be put before and approved by board in advance
D. Any misuse of funds by a committee member will result in expulsion from society
II. Proposals
A. Any fundraising activity idea proposed by BMES members must be subjected to due consideration by committee members
B. An activity idea must be generally approved by majority vote of all committee members before going before board
C. An activity idea must be generally approved by those board members present at board meeting in which the chair presents the idea
D. Final yes/no belongs to president; in absence of president, vice president
III. Approved Activities
A. Notice of occurrence must be given to all board members _____ beforehand
B. Notice of occurrence must be given to all BMES members _____ beforehand
C. Notices will generally be given through posted advertisements, announcements at meetings, and/or e-mails
D. Notices will clearly state date of occurrence as well as time, place, description of activity, and time slots for which volunteers are needed
E. Any who volunteer and are accepted must be contacted at least _____ prior to activity
IV. Records
A. Records must be kept of volunteers, listing when and for what
B. Records must be kept of all costs and profits for each fundraising activity
C. Records must be kept of all funds used by society
